Enjoying the family

We had a huge family get together this past Saturday. We ate like there was no tomorrow and played wiffleball, basketball and tag football. Wow! so exhausting. It was all worth it, love being with the family.
My nephew continued his rein in little league baseball. His team has won the last tournament with a 11 to 10 victory. It was a good thing because we were able to enjoy our family picnic. You know the old saying, nothing tastes better than the sweet taste a victory. Let me tell you, those hot dogs, hamburgers, rice, baked ziti and everything else really taste GREAT! after victory. LOL!
My son is getting so good at tennis. He entered another tennis instructional tournament and finished in third place. This time it wasn't with beginners, it was with the rookie division. I am very proud of him.
This week we have been exercising to burn off all those pounds we gained during this past weekends feast. I am also training with my son, he is so into tennis. I also have another tournament with my nephews little league team. It all fun and enjoyable. I would not want it any other way.
Thank all the heavens for giving me this great gift called life.

The day after

Hello everyone,

We had a scheduled little baseball tournament game that was cancelled yesterday, but today we are back on. The kids are so excited and so am I. It is just a wonderful feeling to see the kids so happy and ready to go. I hope they win, but at the same time I really want then to have fun.
Even though it did rain yesterday, My family and I decided to make the best of it. Just before it started raining, we took off and went to Dave & Busters' at the Palisade's Mall. We played video games, ate (healthy of course) and just had a great time. After we left the Palisade's Mall, we came back home and had a tournament. It was too funny, but the tournament was to see who will be the next WWE Heavyweight champion of the world. My 9 year old son won the tournament and yes we do have the replica belts. I know it might sound crazy but I have a lot of energy and so does my wife and kids. These things happen in my crazy active world. Then I had to attend seminar at 8 pm, so play time was over. But I thank all the heavens for allowing me this gift called life.

Wow! I am so tired. My nephew is in an awesome little league baseball tournament in the Bronx. We, my younger brother and I, have been practicing to get the kids ready and it paid off. The team was great. Though they lost the first game, they came back to win the next three games to advance to the next round. It is electrifying and keeps me young. Lets see what happens in the next round.
You would think that would be all, but no. I also had to take my son to his king of the court tennis tournament. My son, Brandon, is 9 years old and just discovered how fun tennis can be. He wanted to join this tournament and I said yes. It was great how well the instructors worked with the children. My son finished second in his division (beginners). I had a ball, thank God for giving me the blessings to enjoy my family. Till my next blog, stay healthy and stop to smell the roses.

Sad day....

When I was driving my son to camp, I heard on the radio that George Steinbrenner past away. For those who don't know, he was the owner of the greatest franchise in the world; The New York Yankees. We have a love hate relationship with him here in New York. It is so sad that we realized so late how great he really was. My condolences go out to his family , God bless.
